As a first generation American born to Greek parents, Maria is no stranger to the notion of working hard to achieve your goals. As a young girl, she knew that one day she’d open her own hair salon and it wasn’t a matter of if, but when. Whether it was giving her Barbie a haircut, or doing her friends’ hair for proms, it was evident that working with hair wasn’t just a pastime - it was a passion. After working in salons in the Northshore for nearly a decade, Maria’s lifelong dream became a reality in 2013. That dream was realized further in 2015 with an expansion and move to Chroma Hair Studio’s current location on beautiful Ell Pond in Melrose, MA. Having trained in Boston and New York, her specialties include precision cutting, razor cutting, bridal styling and personalized coloring. Maria’s favorite thing about being a hairstylist is the personal connections she’s made with her wonderful clientele over the span of her 16 year career, for whom she’s incredibly grateful.
